Couldn't resist adding two more pictures...

Grandma sent me these pictures today and I couldn't resist posting them. Here are the shots of Carter petting Pa-Pa's catfish.

Fun at the Lake

It was pointed out to me that I got out of order on the blog. Bear with me and go back in time to before Hunter was a Kindergartener and I was a year younger. A whole two weeks ago. We went to Smithville Lake with Grandma and Pa-Pa. The boys had a blast fishing and taking a ride on the innertube. Carter did catch a fish, but had more fun putting his hands all over the ones Pa-Pa caught.

Hunter fishing.

Carter ready to go.

Hunter's first dip into the lake.

This was more fun for the boys than Dad I believe and less painful.

A big day for Hunter.

Well Hunter has now completed his first day of kindergarten and it was done without tears (his or mine). When I asked him about his day he told me what he ate and drank, that is what stood out for him. He was concerned that some of the kids were doing unsafe things on the monkey bars, but not him. He is often worried about safety after all.

Sprinkler Fun

Some simple yard chores turned into a sprinkler play time and I had to grab the camera and share. I have to say we have some pretty cute kids.

One month since the adoption, three weeks home...

Everything is going very well. Carter is using more and more English everyday. The boys are bonding and getting along great (including sharing). He is sleeping through the night and taking a nap without too much of a fight. The temper tantrums are happening less frequently. We seem to have two very happy boys who like to make people laugh.

As a proper proud Mama I need to brag on Carter's English; he is using the following words correctly: alligator, elephant, monkey, drink, no, truck, airplane, flower, dog, cookie, stinky, good job, and swimming.

Both boys love to swim (big surprise) and improve their water skills each trip into the pool. Hunter is the cautious one and Carter seems to not have much fear. Both are jumping in and going under the water.

Wrestling with Daddy.

Carter has made friends with Rex (well most of the time).

Alligator....

A trip to Silver Dollar City

Friday we made a trip to Silver Dollar City. The boys had a blast. Carter loved the rides squealing and giggling the whole time. I thought I would share some pictures.

Hunter cooperating for a picture is a rare and priceless moment right now.

Carter enjoyed getting wet, it was a very hot day.

Ready, aim, water!

Hunter and Carter shared a stroller all day with no major sharing issues. Someone walking by got a good chuckle as Hunter said the following to Carter "Carter you are not listening to me, you need to do what I say."

Having fun is hard work, a boy needs to catch some sleep where ever he can.
